INDIVIDUALS
A payment made under Gift Aid is the most beneficial way of giving as it enables the church as a charity to recover tax from the Inland Revenue based on the amount of the gift. For example, a donation of £750 under Gift Aid is worth almost £1000 to the church.

To make donation under Gift Aid simply complete the appropriate section on the donation form. Following changes to the law, there is now no minimum amount required to qualify for tax relief.

BY COMPANIES
Companies can deduct their charitable gifts from their profits when declaring them for corporation tax purposes. Relief will be granted at the top rate of tax payable for the tax year in which the gift is made.
